“Campground Sing along” 30 x 36 Oil by Tom Kelly
This painting is about the urge and enjoyment of singing and having a good time. The three children in the picture represent my three, all not wanting to join in the singing. Adam is playing his Game Boy while Meghan and Lauren are disturbed and obviously feel this is stupid. The point of the painting is to try to deal with children growing up and not wanting to be a part of ones life anymore and their need to rebel. The broken style and the black swirls are again representative of my mood and confusion about the expected disappointments that happen when kids turn into teenagers.
